BuildAI automatically generates the entities (data tables) your app needs to run smoothly. For example, a documentation hub might create entities such as Category (to organize topics) and Document (to store articles). Each entity functions like a smart database table, enabling your AI app to efficiently store and retrieve information. As you interact with the app builder, it can dynamically update these entities—adding new fields, altering field types, or creating entirely new entities to better fit your requirements. Rest assured, your existing data remains completely safe. The builder only modifies the structure (e.g., adding a “Priority” field to documents) without changing your actual content.
Note: Generating content directly through the chat builder is currently not supported. However, for direct image generation, you can use our AI-powered tool ImageCraft — create stunning product images from reference images or descriptions! After generating images with ImageCraft, simply upload them to your database or create your own admin page to manage and upload images seamlessly.

1. View Data & Navigate Entities

To manage your app’s data, start by viewing and navigating your entities:
  • Click the Database tab on the left sidebar.
  • Select an entity, like Category or Document, to view its records.
  • You’ll see a table displaying all records for that entity, with most columns editable.
  • Note: The Created At and User ID columns are locked and cannot be modified.
This interface provides a clear overview of your data and structure, making it easy to explore and understand. View Entities & Data

2. Select & Edit a Record

Editing data is simple and intuitive:
  • Click any editable cell within a row to modify its value.
  • For example, update the “Description” or “Icon” fields in a Category record instantly.
  • Changes save automatically as you type—no additional save button needed.
This makes quick updates or corrections fast and hassle-free. Select & Edit Record

3. Switch Between Entities

Your app may include multiple entities, each storing different types of data:
  • Click any other entity in the sidebar to switch views.
  • For instance, toggle from Category to Document to manage articles or guides.
  • Each entity has its own unique columns and data types tailored to your app’s needs.
Switching entities efficiently organizes and separates your app’s data management. Switch Entities

4. Add New Records

Adding new data is straightforward:
  • Scroll to the bottom of the entity table and click + New.
  • Fill in the fields for your new record.
  • Click the checkmark on the right to save your entry.
  • The Created At and User ID fields are filled automatically.
This process helps you effortlessly expand your app’s content. Add New Record Save New Record

5. Delete Records

To remove data:
  • Click the trash bin icon on the right side of the record.
  • Confirm the deletion if prompted.
  • Deleted records are permanently removed.
Use this feature carefully, as deletions cannot be undone.

6. Understand Default Columns: Created At & User ID

Two system-managed columns help you track record history and ownership:
  • Created At: Timestamp showing when the record was created. This is locked and cannot be edited.
  • User ID: Identifier of the user who created the record. Also locked.
These fields provide important context and are protected from accidental changes.

How Entity Evolution Works

As your app grows, the AI builder learns and adapts your data structure to meet your evolving needs. You can start with basic entities like Category and Document and later add:
  • A “Status” field in Documents (e.g., Draft, Published, Archived)
  • A “Priority” field in Categories (e.g., High, Medium, Low)
  • An entirely new Author entity to track content creators
Simply instruct the builder with commands such as:
  • “Add a priority field to categories”
  • “Track which team member wrote each document”
The builder updates your data structure instantly while keeping all existing data intact.

Quick Tips

  • Use the Export and Import buttons at the top-right of the database view to back up or bulk upload data.
  • Locked columns (Created At and User ID) cannot be altered—they are managed by the system.
  • Inline editing saves changes immediately—no separate save button required.
  • Scroll horizontally to access additional columns if your entity contains many fields.
  • Need new fields or entities? Just ask the builder—it evolves your data structure without affecting your content.
